Yoga & Bushcraft
Retreat
Relax & Reconnect With Yoga & Nature Experiences
In partnership with Wild Heart Yoga
In a busy world, taking time to slow down and reconnect with yourself and nature is more important than ever. In this exciting collaboration with Wild Heart Yoga, we invite you for a restorative week of Yoga & Breathwork, invigorating Highland wild swimming and nature-based workshops focussing on foraging, cosy campfire-cooked meals and craftwork.
From our base at Dungarthhill House, a secluded Victorian lodge nestled on its own private estate, we are perfectly placed to soak up nature and enjoy peaceful yoga and breath work sessions in the extensive grounds. The surrounding area is also a nature-lovers playground and with us as guides, we'll venture out to some of the best local spots to take in spectacular ancient woodland, wild rivers and secret foraging spots.
Here's how a typical day will shape up....
Awaken & Align - Start the day grounded and energised with morning yoga and meditation practice
Breakfast (local, seasonal, healthy)
Daily Nature Workshops:
Wild food foraging
Learn to identify plants and their medicinal uses
Firelighting skills and cosy campfire cookery
Crafting - eco printing, spoon carving
Moments for calm - Take a pause, relax and enjoy the surroundings
Dinner (local, seasonal, healthy)
Includes campfire feast one evening
Nighttime renewal - A restorative yoga session to calm the mind and body before rest.
Bushcraft/Nature Workshops
During the retreat, Wilderness Folk School will host several workshops designed to compliment the yoga and breathwork schedule. These include learning about plants and their uses, exciting campfire cookery, wild food foraging & mindful crafting workshops. These workshops will mostly take place outdoors and have been created to encourage meaningful connection to nature and well as teach some useful skills that help connect your mind and body to the natural word around you. What's more, they are fun and foster a tight community spirit as we share experiences and enjoy crackling campfires together.
